Seeing as spring is… here, I hope you’ve flipped your closet back over! If not, and you live in NYC, I know you’ve enjoyed afternoons full of sweaty backs. Whatever side of the fence you find yourself on, if you’re in need of some closet inspiration, keep reading!
I was curious to see what some of my most stylish homies had chosen to take out of their closets for the spring, along with what trends they think are on the horizon, so I asked! Closed mouths don’t get fed for real. Below are some of their favorites and predictions for the season, along with some thoughts from moi!

With the World Cup underway this summer, I foresee a resurgence of sportswear incorporated into everyday dressing in unconventional ways.
Reimagining football (soccer) kits in interesting ways, playing with silhouettes, juxtaposing sporty looks with more chic refined pieces.
I find that major sporting events are a time where fashion and cultural identity coincide. You’re able to witness people outwardly having a sense of pride in their identity in support of their country—and you see how that shows up in obvious ways, like sporting a jersey or even intentionally wearing certain colors.

I've been wearing a lot of capris lately. Faded and thrashed is definitely trending right now. Old Ralph Lauren, especially Polo Country stuff from the late 90s/80s, 90s C.P. Company, Paul Smith, Armani, and G.I.B.B.

I like having a few winter accessories or less practical fuzzy things in spring because we have that in-between weather. Also, capris and colorful tights!

I’ve been into distressed pieces + formal elements. A boot with a heel and a pointed toe—unique takes on footwear like Tabis, ballet flats, mules .
Elevated athletic-streetwear fits, footwear & pants esp have been going hard. Boots, with baggy jeans tucked or short sleeved polo shirts in bright colors. That baggy shorts with flip flops swag.
